How to plan a custom PC budget in Malta

Updated

Start with the games or software you actually use, then set a total budget including the parts and services you need. Smart Shopper Malta’s custom PC builder lets you compare current catalogue choices and review a suggested build before deciding.

Define the job before choosing the parts

  • Write down your main games, work applications and monitor resolution. Tell us whether you need a quiet office computer, a gaming system or a workstation. A higher-priced component is only useful when it helps the work you want the computer to do.
  • If you already own a monitor, check its resolution and refresh rate. If you are replacing it, include that purchase in the overall budget rather than spending everything on the tower.

Budget for the whole setup

  • Include the processor, motherboard, memory, graphics card when required, storage, power supply, case and cooling. Also consider an operating system, monitor, keyboard, mouse and any other accessories you need.
  • Review the builder’s displayed total and what it includes. Confirm assembly, delivery or collection arrangements before ordering. Compare complete configurations rather than a headline price for one component.

Use the budget builder, then edit the suggestion

  • Open the custom PC builder and enter your budget. Review the suggested parts and use Edit this build when you want to change a component. Check the compatibility messages again after making changes.
  • If you are upgrading an existing computer, send the exact model of the motherboard, case and power supply to our team. Reusing a part depends on its condition and compatibility; it should not be assumed from the brand name alone.

Confirm price, availability and timing

  • Use the current product pages and final build summary for EUR prices, stock status and delivery estimates. An example build is not a promise that every part will remain available at the same price.
  • Smart Shopper Malta offers local advice and support from Żabbar. Orders can be delivered in Malta or collected from our store by arrangement. The estimate shown beside each product is the starting point for planning your order.
